Childhood meets crafty coolness!!!

I don't know a lot about the Deviant Art site, but have come accross it a few times and will be frequenting far more often after discovering these little beauties, well, technically these little ponies! For all the creative avenues I have explored , I haven't yet delved into the world of My Little Pony disfigurement... but these people really have!

I think 'My Little Iron Man' is the most fantastic, but I would love to have seen the cheeky grin on the artist whilst creating pony size Marilyn Manson-esque tie up leather trousers, genius!

Button Babies!

Well, I never have denied that I love a bit of nepotism, but hey, this blog is all about 'things I love the most' and within that category how could I not include my Mum?!

As well as BEING one of such 'things', everything she creates also falls into the same category too!

The latest offering from Nanoo's Boutique are these lovely 'Button Babies' - they're a little bit teddy bear, little bit doll, quite a big pinch of robot and lots of snuggly goodness thrown in for good measure! Basically they are the latest obsession to spring from the end of my Mumma's crochet hook, and I really love them! She is also veering, as we speak, into the world of beatifully square-edged button-eyed animal friends too....

Another new hobby...

I've always loved Laura Lees designs with the kooky embroidery, and over Easter weekend actually had a real day off, so I thought I'd try a little myself! It did take a lot longer than I thought but it was lovely to do, and now I want to embroider everything I own!

If only there were more hours in the day!

Freaky Ring Hand-Stands!!!

I love making jewellery. I love selling jewellery. I especially love selling my jewellery face to face and chatting to people at craft fairs and festivals.
I hate the fact that I keep trying really hard but never quite find the perfect ways of displaying my goods. Every time I come up with something new I love it, until I think of another, better, more practical way later on! So for the moment, I LOVE my new hand-stands for displaying my rings!

One pair of rubber gloves - I like yellow and pink best but it's really surprising how many colours you can get, saw some very suave black ones today.

Fill with flour, sand, whatever you have to hand (pun totally accidental!), make sure you fill the fingers right up or they'll go floppy. Add a pebble or similar when you have finished filling the glove, to act as a weight when you turn it over. Secure the end VERY TIGHTLY with an elasitic band/hairband/whatever.

Turn the hand over and squeeze into shape so it stands up on it's own.

Hey Presto, freaky hands!

Incredible Inedibles

Well I have been trying to 'be good' with food for quite a long time - ie.not eating nice things.

Thankfully there are a select few very clever designers that seem to understand the need to be associated with tasty stuff, so if I can't eat it at least I can wear it, or put it in my hair, or bathe in it...

Mmm... cake, liquorice allsorts, doughnuts, and popcorn... I'm eating muesli at the moment...

Goldilocks Barrettes, Little Creations Jewellery and LoveLee Soaps are my 3 favourite fantastic creators of guilt free foodstuffs!
