Free lunch?!

Who said there's no such thing?!

Of all the little things I do to make myself smile, quite a few of them do revolve around food, like nicking the end bit of a french stick, eating Nutella out of the jar with a teaspoon, and baking/eating banana based cakes...

Well this one's my current favourite, I get Graze boxes every other week, and they satisfy so many of my little wishes they're really special...

Wish 1 - post that's not boring household/bank stuff, the boxes are specially designed to go through anyone's letterbox!

Wish 2 - picky food, snacky, nutty, seedy, healthy, guilt free (though sometimes a bit of chocolate and flapjack sneaks in there) and generally very yummy! Tons of dried fruit/nut/seed combos and ace flavours, from the super spicy to the sugary sweet.

Wish 3 - cute lunchbox style little compartments, make me feel like I'm a packed lunch kid at school (I did enjoy being a school dinners kid most of the time, but the days we got packed lunch felt special!).

Wish 4 - being nice, just because I get these boxes, I can give anyone I like a free one for themselves, and then AS WELL as your free one Graze either give me money off or make a donation to the 'graze school of farming'. What a blooming nice company!

So if you want one, take one, have one on me, amazin'! Just click here

Childhood meets crafty coolness!!!

I don't know a lot about the Deviant Art site, but have come accross it a few times and will be frequenting far more often after discovering these little beauties, well, technically these little ponies! For all the creative avenues I have explored , I haven't yet delved into the world of My Little Pony disfigurement... but these people really have!

I think 'My Little Iron Man' is the most fantastic, but I would love to have seen the cheeky grin on the artist whilst creating pony size Marilyn Manson-esque tie up leather trousers, genius!

My favourite of all...

Hmmm, things I love the most... well of all the things I have ever owned this ring is my most super favourite item.

I spent a rather inappropriately long time stalking it in the window of the local second hand jewellers, nearly having heart attacks a couple of times when the window display was rearranged and I thought it had gone... I couldn't take that risk for much longer so I took my intended into the shop and explained there was no need to get engaged or married any time soon but if I missed out on that ring I would always be a bit sad with whatever replacement we found. Fortunately he did agree to buy it for me!

About 2 years later, having given up all hope that I'd ever get to wear it, or even see it again, I got it (and the engagement that accompanies it!) for my 30th birthday this year, finally I have something I love which isn't made of plastic!

Button Babies!

Well, I never have denied that I love a bit of nepotism, but hey, this blog is all about 'things I love the most' and within that category how could I not include my Mum?!

As well as BEING one of such 'things', everything she creates also falls into the same category too!

The latest offering from Nanoo's Boutique are these lovely 'Button Babies' - they're a little bit teddy bear, little bit doll, quite a big pinch of robot and lots of snuggly goodness thrown in for good measure! Basically they are the latest obsession to spring from the end of my Mumma's crochet hook, and I really love them! She is also veering, as we speak, into the world of beatifully square-edged button-eyed animal friends too....
